We are a bunch of fanatical racers, in the online racesimulator Live For Speed. At the moment the starting grids in our leagues are getting bigger and bigger, but if you like to compete with others in serious league races, signup at our site and start racing with us! At the moment we have S2 Leagues with 3 different classes which take place on sunday evening. We also have one hour endurance Le Mans league races. Also, we regularly have nice one-off clubevenings with specials like Oval or rallye races or the famous Blackwood-Classics. If you know any other serious racers, please show them this site. Level classes
At Absolute-beginners we have overall standings for every league, but to make it even more interesting, we also race in level-classes. You can become a champion in one of these level-classes:
/1 The fastest drivers of the AB-league /2 The moderate drivers of the AB-league /3 The slow drivers of the AB-league /4 Rookie racer, new racers or members during a season, with standings based on averages.
The overall standings in our league determine the class you will race in the next season. The Board of trusties decides about that.
Please remember: You can't change classes during a season. You can only be in ONE class at the same time. Put /1, /2, /3 or /4 behind your racername, so everybody can see to what class you belong.
Another S2 season has ended. A season with lots of fights and wonderfull races has gone by. In all classes there where thrilling battles and hopes to get more points every race. This season we saw many newcomers racing in the rookie league. next year the rookies will be racing in the /1, /2 or /3 classes. Thank you rookies, for racing with us, it was a pleasure!
So how did the championships come out? Here we are with the results!
In the Overall league we got many nice fights between Mazdarati and Black, but also with Duck Tape and Weefelly. Black missed a few races so he did not compete for championships, but shure was a hard note to crack for Mazdarati. Calin and Daniel took the opportunity to pass Black in the standings for 4th and 5th place.
Then the results in the GP1-league were very much the same: Mazdarati first place, followed by Duck Tape and Weefelly.
In the GP2-league Daniel and Luca showed that they surely belong to the GP1-league next season. Also Stevie did some nice things during the races. He finished 8 out of 10 races.
The GP3-league this year was a bit thinned out, with not so many racers. Postal took the crown and showed that racing in the GP3 was too easy for him and surely he will be promoted too a higher class. Good old (but very slow) Starbert struggeled much of the season to get some speed into his car, but merely failed. He took 2nd place in the GP3-league. His teammate Revitup took 3rd place.
The Rookies became very popular this season. We welcomed 29 new drivers during the season, some very fast drivers as well. It looks like Mazdarati, Duck Tape, Black etc. could be challenged by some of them next season.
Here are all the top positions from the season:
S2 League - Season 11 overall 1 Mazdarati (255) 2 Duck Tape (201) 3 Weefelly (153)
S2 League - Season 11 GP1 class 1 Mazdarati (258) 2 Duck Tape (222) 3 Weefelly (174)
S2 League - Season 11 GP2 class 1 Daniel (231) 2 Luca (186) 3 Stevie (162)
S2 League - Season 11 GP3 class 1 Postal (192) 2 Starbert (90) 3 RevItUpMX-5 (56)
S2 League - Season 11 Rookie Championship 1 Ago 76 (12,5) 2 Ton (11,0) 3 Lore 96 (11,00)
Of course as every year, we would like to congratulate all champions and here is the prize:
The final race of season 11 in S2 took place at Fern Bay Club. A large field of 25 drivers filled the grid for the 10th race of the season. Over half the drivers managed to get into the 42’s in qualifying. While many drivers started the race, this combo is notorious for eliminating cars from the competition. As it turned out this time was no different.
Several drivers, who will remain nameless, managed to bring out the yellow on the pace lap.
Luca taking an interesting line on the pace lap.
Someone getting ready to end up on his roof.
Luca ends his bid to repeat as winner of this combo.
Proving he is human after all, Mazdarati makes a rare mistake and ends his race on his roof.
Only his visor prevents us from seeing the grin on Stevie's face as he pressures Daniel into a mistake only 5 laps from the end.
Calin, driving a flawless race, crosses the finish line for the victory.
Round 9 of S2 took place at Westhill. The field of field of 22 drivers all driving the open wheel FOX were closely grouped after the 20 minutes of qualifying with more than half the field within one second of each other. Open wheel specialist Bandes took the pole with a time in the 1:33’s.
Open wheel specialist Bandes barely holds the pole over Mazdarati.
Black goes airborne as he sees his podium bid come to an end on the first lap.
Duck Tape avoids the tires and comes through without a scratch.
Mazdarati takes over first as he drafts Bandes down the straight.
Weefelly ensures a podium finish as he passes Daniel on the first lap.
Weefelly says "If I can't pass Bandes on the track, he won't pass me in the pits"
Daniel and Piotek battle for 4th.
Mazdarati puts in a qualifing lap time as he takes yet another victory.
Race 4 in the Open Configuration Cup continued at a modified South City Chicane track. The UFR proved to be the popular choice among all but 3 of the 16 starters. Only Dewl, Pan and Postal went against the grain and chose the fast shifting XFR. Weefully was on the pole with both Kelle and DriversEdStevie ready to pounce should he make a mistake. Amazingly Mazdarati and Duck Tape, both with the maximum restriction of 9%, started 4th and 5th respectively.
Jamo the first car to go airborne. He would not be the last.
Jamo trying to go over the bridge.
Believe it or not that is not a relfection of Pan at the top of the bridge. You have to admire Jamos' determination as he still has his brakes on in all 3 photos. Probably preparing to land!
Jamo, having dificulty steering after the crash, realizes he has a bit to much toe-in at the rear and heads in to the pits for repairs. Or is that toe-out?
Do you think Mazarati could have tortured that right front any more trying to avoid the barrier?
Lore96 getting it all wrong going down the pit lane enterance at race speed.
Postal joins the party in the pits and puts his car on its roof.
After Yuusei puts his car on its side, he gets lucky as Daniel does him a favour by giving him a push back over on all four wheels.
Weefelly has a déjà vu moment on the 2nd to last lap as he puts his car on 2 wheels in turn 1.
Weefelly crosses the finish line with no one in sight to end his drought on the top step of the podium!
We have finally updated the standings in the S2 league. Due to sickness of me, Starbert, i couldn't update earlier. Normally the standings will be updated within 24-48 hours after each race.
@Speedsenna I'm not sure why the appearance of more drivers would be a problem. I don't win races here now (most of us don't) with the drivers already here. That would not change with the arrival of new, elite drivers.
